PLAN YOUR VISIT
WELCOME TO THE NEW NORTH END!
The West Side Show Room is located at 1414 N Main Street in Signal Hill near the roundabout in Rockford’s historic North End.
BEER + WINE BAR
Arrive in time to enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer in The WSSR’s cabaret space. When the show starts, you can carry your drink to your seat!
AFTER THE SHOW
Stay around after the show for talk-backs, cast meet and greets, music performances and much more. Check back for more information on upcoming events!
FOR PEOPLE WITH MOBILITY DISABILITIES:
The West Side Show Room offers an open single-level layout with push-button doors at the main entrance and at our wheelchair accessible restrooms. The parking lot adjacent to our building contains six ADA parking spaces. With the exception of a small ramp from the parking lot to our main entrance, our building is level throughout with smooth floors and wide hallways. When reserving tickets, feel free to let us know your seating preference (close to the stage or farther back) and we will do our best to accommodate you.
NORTH END COMMONS
PUBLIC PARKING LOT #31
Parking Lot #31 is the best parking option. Located directly behind The Norwegian, this free lot is adjacent to The West Side Show Room’s main entrance. Enter from this parking lot— there is no access from Main Street.
PUBLIC PARKING LOT #33
Another good parking option is the free Public Lot #33 by Der Rathskeller and Midland States Bank. If you park here, use the crosswalk at the roundabout, and proceed to the back of The West Side Show Room where our main entrance is located.
RESIDENTIAL STREET PARKING
If the public parking lots are full, there is free parking on the residential streets: Latham Place and King Street to the West, and Myott Avenue and Toner Avenue to the East. If you park on the streets, please be respectful of our neighbors— bear in mind that many of them do not have driveways and also park their car in the street.
WSSR ♥️’s The Norwegian! Located just south of the theater at 1402 N Main St, The Norwegian is a warm and friendly brunch spot inspired by Scandinavian and International Cuisine. Check out their evening hours and stop in before or after seeing a show at The WSSR!
Since 1931, Rockford's oldest restaurant has been featuring Bavarian and American cuisine in an intimate old-world setting! Open for Lunch and Dinner weekly, brunch on the weekends. Located across the street from the theater at 1132 Auburn St.
THE OLYMPIC TAVERN
A North End favorite since 1945, The Olympic Tavern has EVERYTHING— from burgers to lobster tails, a great wine list and Rockford's best craft beer menu. (We’d order their ranch dressing by the pitcher if they’d let us). At 2327 N Main St, The Olympic Tavern is a quick drive from the theater up Main Street and makes a perfect post-show hangout.
If you arrive after the show starts, you will be seated at the back of the theater during a scene change, or you can watch the performance on a monitor in the lobby.
PHOTOGRAPHY & RECORDING
Photos and videos are not allowed during shows because of copyright laws. Sorry. ☹️
If you can’t make the show, no worries— let us know as soon as possible so we can schedule you for another day, or pass your seat along to another person.
